The beaches of Fort Myers and Sanibel have landed on Orbitz.com’s top 10 list of “fastest-growing beach destinations” in the United States.

Orbitz measured percentage growth in the number of hotel bookings on its Web site during winter months (Dec. 21 through Feb. 28) over three years.

The resulting U.S. Top 10, in order of the greatest increases, are:

Maui, Hawaii; Daytona Beach, Fla.; Kailua-Kona, Hawaii; Key West, Fla.; San Diego, Calif.; Charleston, S.C.; Fort Lauderdale/Miami Fla.; Sarasota, Fla.; Santa Monica; and Fort Myers.
